The Pittsburgh Pirates officially added left-hander Bailey Falter to their major-league roster Saturday and optioned infielder Vinny Capra to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Falter is scheduled to make his Pirates’ debut on Saturday night when he starts against the Brewers in Milwaukee. The Pirates acquired Falter from the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday in a trade for infielder Rodolfo Castro.

In eight games (seven starts) with the Phillies this season, Falter was 0-7 with a 5.13 ERA. The 26-year-old had a 2-1 record with a 3.96 ERA in 12 combined starts for Triple-A Lehigh Valley and Low-A Clearwater.

Capra, 27, played in two games for the Pirates and went 0 for 4 with a walk.
