Pirates left-handed pitching prospect Michael Kennedy winds up to pitch.

Pirates’ minor league affiliates picked up a pair of wins on Saturday, with young lefty Michael Kennedy leading the charge as the Bradenton Marauders continue to surge.

Triple-A Indianapolis lost 9-3 to the Buffalo Bisons. They kept it close early, but couldn’t recover from a five-run sixth inning.

The Altoona Curve melted down once again, allowing four runs in their last two innings on the way to a 5-3 loss. Alessandro Ercolani got tagged for four runs in 3.2 innings, but that didn’t stop the Greensboro Grasshoppers from eking out a 5-4 win: Brandan Bidois struck out the side for his second save of the season.

The Bradenton Marauders continued their hot streak, with Michael Kennedy striking out eight over six innings of one-run ball on the way to a 10-3 win.
