Henry Davis, Pittsburgh Pirates

PITTSBURGH — Not even two years after being drafted with the first overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Henry Davis made his big league debut against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park on Monday night.

While the outcome was another loss for the Pirates, their seventh defeat in a row, Davis had a nice first go of it in a major league game.

In his first at-bat, Davis recorded his first-career hit with a hard-hit double down the third base line. He later drew a walk and finished the game 1 for 3.
