Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Jared Jones has already made a pair of appearances this spring, but he’ll get to make his first start against the Toronto Blue Jays in Bradenton on Tuesday at 1:05 ET.

Through his first two outings, Jones hasn’t allowed a run in 2.2 innings pitched. The right-hander has allowed one hit, walked two and struck out a pair. He’s flashed his power-fastball that sits comfortably in the upper-90s.

The Pirates selected Jones in the second round of the 2020 draft. He’s ranked as the Pirates’ third-best prospect and No. 62 overall by MLB Pipeline.

Andrew McCutchen will make his 2024 spring training debut at designated hitter and will bat third. It will be the first game played for McCutchen since injuring his left Achilles on Sep. 4.
