Pirates Prospects
PBN’s Top 30 Pittsburgh Pirates Prospects
With the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 2023 season in the rearview mirror, it’s time to update our top Pirates prospects list at Pittsburgh Baseball Now.
The Pirates promoted a handful of their prospects in the 2023 regular season and saw several ex-farmhands graduate from their prospect status. Among those no longer considered prospects include Henry Davis, Endy Rodriguez, Quinn Priester and several others.
With so many graduations, the top 30 Pirates’ prospects list looks a lot different than it did this time last year.
Leading the way on our list is right-hander Paul Skenes, who was selected first overall by the Pirates in the 2023 MLB Draft. He is followed by fellow first-rounder Termarr Johnson, who we consider to be the Pirates’ top position player prospect in the system.
After those two, there was plenty of question on how the rest of the top 30 should unfold.
Here are our top 30 Pirates’ prospects after the 2023 season.
