Pittsburgh Pirates-Jared Jones

A day after Anthony Solometo shined on the mound in Double-A, another Pittsburgh Pirates’ prospect turned in a quality performance.

With Triple-A Indianapolis, Jared Jones shined on the mound by allowing only a pair of runs in six innings pitched. The right-hander allowed only four hits, didn’t walk a batter and punched out seven.

To go on top of his impressive pitching line, the young right-hander touched triple digits on the radar gun.

Jones is considered the Pirates’ 10th-best prospect according to MLB Pipeline. The 21-year-old was selected with the 44th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
