Pirates Place Jacob Stallings on Concussion IL; Recall Taylor Davis
The Pirates announced that catcher Jacob Stallings has been placed on the 7-day concussion injured list and catcher Taylor Davis has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to take his place.

Stallings has played in 109 games for the Pirates in 2021 and is batting .240 with a .695 OPS. He’s slugged 8 homers and has driven in 53 runs. His defense behind the plate has been excellent, totaling 21 defensive runs saved.
The Pirates acquired Davis from Baltimore on June 15. In 50 minor league games in 2021, Davis hit .253 (39 for 154) with two homers and 21 runs driven in. Defensively, he has thrown out 35% of attempting base stealers. Davis has appeared in 20 Major League games, the last of which coming in 2019 with the Cubs.
Michael Perez will be catching for the Pirates on Monday night against the Reds.
To make room for Davis on the 40-man roster, Bryse Wilson has been transferred to the 60-day injured list, ending his season. Wilson was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
