Pirates’ affiliates picked up two wins on Thursday, with strong pitching performances from Jake Woodford, Dominic Perachi and Hung-Leng Chang to go with a two homer game from Nick Cimillo.

Triple-A Indianapolis lost 1-0 to the Iowa Cubs, spoiling an excellent start from Woodford.

The Altoona Curve outlasted the Bowie Baysox 10-8 in 12 innings. Kervin Pichardo, who also came up with the game-tying homer in the eighth inning, notched the eventual game-winning hit, a two-run single.

Greensboro rode a two-homer game from Cimillo to a 4-2 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades. Perachi shut down the Renegades while he was on the mound, allowing just one baserunner over six scoreless innings.

The Bradenton Marauders managed just three hits in their 4-2 loss to the Lakeland Flying Tigers, with troubles compounding as their bullpen ran into trouble late.
