Pirates’ affiliates picked up four wins on Friday night, with strong pitching throughout the organization.

Triple-A Indianapolis pulled out a 3-2 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, with Liover Peguero’s ninth-inning homer serving as the difference maker. Right-hander Jake Woodford, formerly of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox, turned in a quality start for Indy.

The Altoona Curve defeated the Erie Sea Wolves 6-5. Sean Sullivan provided six innings in relief, settling things down after Anthony Solometo allowed three runs in three innings.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers demolished the Winston-Salem Dash 14-5. Nick Cimillo homered and Hudson Head notched three extra base hits to drive the offense.

The Bradenton Marauders completed their suspended game from Thursday, immediately erupting for six runs once play resumed to take down the Dunedin Blue Jays 6-0. They didn’t fare so well in the second half of their impromptu doubleheader, falling 10-1.
