Pirates Activate Dauri Moreta; Ángel Perdomo to the 15-Day IL
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Sunday ahead of their game with Minnesota that they made a pair of corresponding roster moves.
They activated right-hander Dauri Moreta from the 15-day injured list, where he’d spent time dealing with a back injury. He last pitched for the Pirates on August 3. Moreta has a 4.10 ERA across 48.1 innings this season, including 63 strikeouts.
In order to make room on the 26-man roster, the Pirates sent left-hander Ángel Perdomo to the 15-day IL retroactive to August 19. The team reported that Perdomo is dealing with left elbow discomfort.
