From all of us at Pittsburgh Baseball Now, we wish you a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. May your Turkey Day be filled with good family, good food and good football.

Thanksgiving Eve Trade

There is one move to discuss from Wednesday. The Seattle Mariners dealt third baseman Eugenio Suárez to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for catcher Seby Zavala and right-handed pitcher Carlos Vargas.

Suárez had spent the last two seasons in Seattle after a seven-year run with the Reds. Last season, the 32-year-old appeared in all 162 games. He hit .232 with a .714 OPS, 22 home runs and 96 RBIs.

In return, the Mariners get a defensive-oriented catcher and add some depth to their bullen. At the same time, they unloaded over $11 million from their payroll as they seek more moves this MLB offseason.
