The Pittsburgh Pirates’ coaching staff is expected to remain intact for 2023 despite the team coming off consecutive season of at least 100 losses.

General manager Ben Cherington said Friday during his season wrap-up press conference that he wants everyone on manager Derek Shelton’s staff back.

Cherington also reiterated Shelton will return for a fourth season next year. The GM had said late this past season that the Pirates were not going to change managers.

The Pirates’ coaching staff consists of bench coach Don Kelly, hitting coach Andy Haines, assistant hitting coach Christian Montero, pitching coach Oscar Marin, first base coach Tarrik Brock, third base coach Mike Rabelo, bullpen coach Justin Meccage, game planning/strategy coach Radley Haddad, bullpen catcher/catching assistant Jordan Comadena, special advisor for pitching development Dewey Robinson, major league assistant Jeremy Bleich, major league assistant Tim McKeithan, roving catching instructor Chad Noble and development coach Caitlyn Callahan.
