Pirates Postgame: Roansy Returns As Red Sox Win 8-3

Published

on

Today was the return of Roansy Day, however it did not go as well as hoped. After a really good first inning, Roansy found trouble in the second as he appeared to lose command. He finished today going 6 innings pitched while giving up 4 earned runs.

It was another anemic day for the offense mostly. A monster home run by Bryan Reynolds kicked off today’s scoring as he made sure to remind Dennis Eckersley what his name is. Later, a big double by Michael Chavis vs. his former team added the third run of the game which wrapped up the scoring.

A not so hot start, a 1-24 stretch for the offense, bad bullpen performances, and more questionable decisions like not pinch hitting for Kevin Padlo pretty much sums up today’s game.
