Watch: Mason Martin Hammers Two Homers Friday Night

“It feels really exciting; I’m very thankful for the opportunity and ready to make the most out of it; I can’t wait to get out on the field and compete.” This quote comes from Piates’ prospect Mason Martin on Monday when asked about his thoughts about being promoted to the Triple-A level. Fast forward four days later, and Martin slugs two home runs in a 9-8 victory against the Omaha Strom Chasers.

When asked about his approach at the plate, Martin said, “The approach is to get a good pitch to hit and stay short and tight to the ball.” Martin on Friday night went 2-4 with four RBI’s and looked real comfortable at the plate. Below are the two home run videos for your viewing pleasure.
