The 2023 MLB trade deadline is upon us.

The Pittsburgh Pirates, like the other 29 teams in baseball, will be active in looking to make deals before the 6 pm ET deadline hits.

There will be plenty of trade buzz swirling in the form of news, rumors and speculation as the day gores on.

Here, we will be providing live updates surrounding the Pirates as the day moves on.

UPDATE 6:27 p.m. – Pirates flip Rodolfo Castro to Phillies at the buzzer

UPDATE 5:31 p.m. – Hedges to Rangers a done deal

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. – Texas Rangers in on Hedges

UPDATE: 9:20 a.m. – Pirates weighing offers on Rich Hill, Austin Hedges

Jon Heyman of the NY Post reports that the Pirates are weighing multiple offers on starting pitcher Rich Hill and catcher Austin Hedges.

Both players seem the most likely to be dealt by Tuesday’s deadline.

Additionally, the Pirates are getting hits on a handful of their other players.
