Bryse Wilson

The Pittsburgh Pirates have executed another trade, shipping right-hander Bryse Wilson to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for cash considerations.

Wilson was designated for assignment by the Pirates last week to make room on the roster for left-handed pitcher Jarlín García.

Wilson, 25 has spent parts of the last two seasons with Pittsburgh. In his Pirates’ career, Wilson went 4-13 with a 5.37 ERA in 33 appearances, 28 of which were starts.

The Pirates acquired the services of Wilson from the Atlanta Braves in a trade the sent reliever Richard Rodriguez to Atlanta during the 2021 trade deadline.

Wilson was originally a fourth-round pick of the Braves in 2016. He made his big league debut two years later and pitched parts of four seasons in Atlanta.
