Pirates Roster Moves: Cam Sanders Recalled, Urquidy Sent Down

The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled right-handed pitcher Cam Sanders from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned right-hander José Urquidy to make room on the active roster.
Sanders, who made his MLB debut with the Pirates last season, totaled six appearances out of the bullpen and allowed six runs in 6.2 innings. Five of those six runs came in one outing against the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 10 at PNC Par
In seven appearances to begin this year with Indianapolis, Sanders posted a 3.00 ERA with seven walks and 11 strikeouts in six innings.
Urquidy went 0-1 with an 8.43 ERA and one save in five appearances with the Pirates this season. In 6.1 innings, he allowed 15 hits, walked two and struck out six.
Manager Don Kelly says Urquidy will be stretched out as a starting pitcher with Indianapolis.
