Pirates Minor League Moves: Lonnie White Jr. to IL, a Trade, Slew of Promotions

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced a slew of minor league transactions on Tuesday, including the placement of outfielder Lonnie White Jr on the seven-day IL (retro to June 7) with an undisclosed injury.
White has been in the midst of a comeback season. He began the year with High-A Greensboro and hit .298/.413/.595 with two doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 19 RBI and nine steals in 23 games prior to a promotion to Double-A Altoona. After joining the Curve, White slashed .295/.398/.552 with seven doubles, one triple, six home runs, 18 RBI and seven steals in 30 games.
Additionally, the Pirates have traded right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer to the Seattle Mariners. The return is not known, but the expectation is the deal is for cash considerations. The 32-year-old inked a minor league deal with Pittsburgh in the offseason. In 16 appearances/two starts with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, Fulmer went 2-2 with a 6.35 ERA. He totaled 34 innings, allowed 41 hits, walked 15 and struck out 27.
Fulmer’s latest stint marked his fourth with the organization despite never appearing in a game for the Pirates.
