Pirates Minor League Report: Peguero Hits Walk-Off, Jones Struggles in Rehab Start
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Liover Peguero delivered a walk-off single as part of a two-hit performance for Triple-A Indianapolis in a 6-5 win over the St. Paul Saints.
Sticking with Triple-A, Jared Jones made his second rehab start and struggled. The right-hander allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts in 3.1 innings.
Indianapolis was the lone Pirates’ affiliate to get a win on Wednesday. Here are some performances of note up and down the system.

Yorke continues to swing a hot bat since coming over from the Red Sox and Davis was responsible for driving in two of Indianapolis’s six runs. Alika Williams and Jose Rojas also had multiple hits.
Altoona (45-65)
RHP Emmanuel Chapman

Chapman tossed three-scoreless innings out of the bullpen and Bins recorded his first triple since 2022 but Altoona fell 6-1 to the Bowie Baysox. Pirates pitching prospect Anthony Solometo fell to 0-5 after allowing three runs in 3.2 innings.
Greensboro (62-47)
RHP Garrett McMillan

SS Mitch Jebb

McMillian dominated in the start for Greensboro with three perfect innings but the Grasshoppers were defeated by the Bowling Green Hot Rods 7-2. Jebb continued his hot stretch with a pair of hits and Termarr Johnson reached base twice.
Bradenton (46-64)

Despite the best efforts of Severino and Kennedy, Bradenton lost 7-4 to the Dunedin Blue Jays. Javier Rivas hit two doubles and scored a run. Peyton Stumbo took the loss after getting rocked for seven runs in one inning out of the bullpen.
