Pirates Announce Cody Bolton as 27th Man for Doubleheader

PITTSBURGH- After Saturday’s game was postponed due to inclement weather, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds are granted an extra roster spot for the doubleheader.

Sunday afternoon, the Pirates announced that their 27th man will be RHP Cody Bolton, who is making his way from Indianapolis.

Bolton last pitched with the Pirates on July 16 against the San Francisco Giants. Bolton’s final line read 1.0 IP, one hit, no runs, no walks, and two strikeouts.

Bolton’s last appearance in general occurred on  Aug. 11. Bolton pitched in 1.2 innings of relief, and gave up no runs on one hit, no walks, and three strikeouts.
