The Pittsburgh Pirates have selected RHP Chase De Jong from Triple-A Indianapolis and have optioned Yerry De Los Santos to Triple-A to make room on the 26-man roster.

De Jong was DFAd by the Pirates on May 9 and cleared waivers on May 11.

In response, the Pirates sent De Jong outright to Triple-A Indianapolis and made five appearances during that time and pitched 6.1 innings, and gave up two earned runs.

De Jong last pitched for Triple-A Indianapolis on May 31 against the Toledo Mud Hens, where he pitched two innings with one hit, no earned runs, one walk, and struck out three.

De Los Santos was called up Saturday afternoon for the Pirates, and he pitched 0.2 innings against the Cardinals with no hits given up, no earned runs, one walk, and one strikeout.
