Pittsburgh Pirates, Bryan Reynolds

PITTSBURGH- The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that OF Bryan Reynolds has been activated from the injured list. To make room, the Pirates have placed INF Ji-Hwan Bae on the 10-day injured list.

Saturday afternoon, Bae was pinch-hit for late in the game. The Pirates announced that Bae is suffering from a left-ankle issue. At first glance, it doesn’t look like anything major, but we will stay away from speculation until more information is released.

Reynolds has been on the IL since June 22 with low back inflammation.

Pirates general manager Ben Cherington spoke with the media on Saturday and mentioned that Reynolds will let the team know when he is ready, and apparently, Sunday was the day.

No word on Ji-Man Choi, who has been in Indianapolis on a rehab assignment since June 28.
