It may be the dog days of August during this 2022 season, but you can now set your sights on 2023. The Pittsburgh Pirates unveiled next year’s schedule on Wednesday.
The Bucs will begin with a six-game road trip, starting the season in Cincinnati on March 30. Pittsburgh will then travel to Boston for a three-game series with the Red Sox at Fenway Park.
The Pirates’ first series at PNC Park will come against the Chicago White Sox from April 7-9. It’s the first time in franchise history the Bucs’ home opener will come against the White Sox.
As is the case for the other 29 teams, the Pirates will face every team in the majors for the first time in the modern era starting next season. This includes a trip to Seattle in May for the first time since 2016.
The New York Yankees will again visit PNC Park with a weekend series against the Bucs from Sept. 15-17.
The Bucs will wrap things up Sep. 29-Oct. 1 with a three-game home series against the Miami Marlins.
