Pirates to Bring Up Dillon Peters

Published

on

According to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the Pirates intend to recall left-handed pitcher Dillon Peters from Triple-A Indianapolis.

As Mackey points out, Peters was acquired from the Angels last month for cash considerations.

Since being acquired by the Pirates, the soon-to-be 29-year-old has gone 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in five games (two starts) for Indianapolis. He’s struck out 15, walked six and has allowed just four hits through 12.0 innings pitched.

For his Major League career, the 5’11 Peters is 7-8 with a 5.83 ERA in 31 games (24 starts) in parts of four seasons with the Marlins and Angels.

The corresponding move has not yet been revealed.
