The Pittsburgh Pirates signed three more picks from this year’s amateur draft Monday, including third-round selection Garret Forrester.

A third baseman from Oregon State, Forrester was a first-team All-Pac 12 selection each of the last two seasons. He hit .326 with 31 doubles, one triple, 26 home runs and 144 RBIs in 177 career games with the Beavers.

The Pirates also signed eighth-round pick Austin Strickland, a right-hander from the University of Kentucky and 13th-round choice Charles McAdoo, a second baseman from San Jose State.

Strickland was 4-2 with a 5.04 ERA this season while striking out 58 over 55.1 innings in 20 games (three starts).

McAdoo is the cousin of basketball Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo and was a first-team All-Mountain West selection in both 2022 and 2023. Charles McAdoo hit .325 with 19 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs and a .409 on-base percentage this season in 58 games.

The Pirates have now signed seven picks.
