The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled right-hander Andre Jackson from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Additionally, left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter has been added to the taxi squad.

To make room on the roster, right-hander Dauri Moreta was placed on the 15-day injured list with low back inflammation.

Falter was recently acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for Rodolfo Castro at the trade deadline.

In his big league career, Falter has made 50 appearances (24 starts), all with Philadelphia. He’s gone 8-12 with a 4.56 ERA as a big leaguer.

The Pirates need a starter for Saturday’s game and it appears he will get the nod.

Jackson was also acquired by the Pirates this season in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the year.

Since joining the Pirates’ organization, Jackson has posted a 3.38 ERA in five appearances at Triple-A Indianapolis.

Like Falter, Jackson has some big league experience. He’s logged 39.0 innings (all in relief) and has posted a 4.15 ERA.
