The Pirates announced a series of roster moves as Cal Mitchell has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis and Tyler Heineman has been reinstated from the Family Medical Emergency List. In corresponding moves, Jack Suwisnski and Micahel Perez have been optioned to Indianapolis.

This will be the second stint for Mitchell this season for the Pirates. In 26 games with the Pirates, Mitchell hit .193 with a .553 OPS, five doubles and a pair of homeruns. Since getting optioned back to Indianapolis on June 27, Mitchell hit .375 with five doubles and nine RBIs in 12 games.

Heineman, picked up from the Blue Jays earlier in the year, has hit .181 with two doubles and three RBIs in 25 games with Pittsburgh. He is responsible for one defensive run saved behind the plate.

Suwinski will head to Triple-A to try and work his way out of a prolonged slump. Dating back to July 5, Suwinski is hitless over his last 28 at-bats. The recent struggles have dipped his batting average below the Mendoza line to his current mark of .198. He has 14 homers and a .716 OPS on the year.

Outside of a three-homer game in June, Perez has struggled at the plate for the Bucs this season. The left-handed hitting Perez is batting just .150 on the year with a .450 OPS in 39 games.
