Pirates Prospect Watch: Two Walk-Off Wednesdays for Young Bucs
Pirates’ minor league affiliates bounced back in a big way after a rough start to the week, going 3-1 on Wednesday with a pair of walk-off wins. The Indianapolis Indians played to a 0-0 tie through much of nine innings before Carter Bins’ dribbling single scraped across all the offense they needed. High-A Greensboro won 8-6 at home, batting around the order on the way to a six-run fourth inning and enjoying a strong night at the plate from 2022 first round pick Termarr Johnson.
The Bradenton Marauders, much like Indianapolis, played to a scoreless tie through ten before Javier Rivas drilled a bases-clearing double to walk it off in the twelfth inning. Double-A Altoona was the lone team to lose on the day, falling 5-0 to the Bowie Bay Sox.
