Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Tres Gonzalez has been in a nice groove with High-A Greensboro, and the outfielder had a big game on Wednesday.

Gonzalez was one of six Grasshoppers’ players who had multi-hit games in their win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

In addition to Gonzalez, here are all the Pirates’ prospects who played well on Wednesday.

Indianapolis (42-49)

1B Aaron Shackelford

  • Game stats: 1 for 2, one home run, one RBI, one run, one walk
  • Season stats: .235/.351/.441, 13 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs, 40 RBIs, seven steals, 77 games

LF Canaan Smith-Njigba

  • Game stats: 1 for 3
  • Season stats: .253/.348/.480, 16 doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 31 RBIs, nine steals, 53 games

Shackelford homered and Smith-Njigba had one of the three hits for Indianapolis, who lost 7-1 to the Iowa Cubs.

Altoona (40-42)

2B Claudio Finol

  • Game stats: 3 for 4, one home run, one RBI, two runs
  • Season stats: .256/.305/.419, five doubles, three home runs, 10 RBIs, three steals, 27 games

LF Matt Fraizer

  • Game stats: 2 for 5, one RBI, one steal
  • Season stats: .259/.337/.376, 13 doubles, six home runs, 30 RBIs, 16 steals, 73 games

Finol and Fraizer combined for five hits and drove in both runs for Altoona, but the Curve fell 8-2 to the Reading Fightin Phils.

Greensboro (42-41)

LF Tres Gonzalez

Gonzalez and Wilson highlighted Greensboro’s huge night on offense in their 12-3 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

Pirates prospects Jase Bowen, Will Matthiessen, Luke Brown and Maikol Escotto also had multi-hit games.

Bradenton (50-35)

1B Nick Cimillo

  • Game stats: 3 for 5, two doubles, one RBI, one run
  • Season stats: .277/.369/.533, 15 doubles, one triple, six home runs, 21 RBIs, 42 games

C Omar Alfonzo

  • Game stats: 2 for 4, one RBI, two runs, one walk

Bradenton defeated the Fort Myers Mighty Muscles 9-6 on Wednesday afternoon.

Enmanuel Terrero homered while Pirates prospect Termarr Johnson went 1 for 3 with a sacrifice fly.
