A couple of top Pittsburgh Pirates’ prospects were among the standouts from Sunday’s minor league action in Endy Rodriguez and Termarr Johnson.

Perhaps motivated by a promotion for Henry Davis, Endy Rodriguez collected three hits and drove in four runs while Termarr Johnson hit his fifth homer of the season.

The trio of Davis, Johnson and Rodriguez are considered to be the Pirates’ top three prospects according to MLB Pipeline.

In addition to those three, here are the other standouts.

  • Game stats: 3 for 5, two doubles, four RBIs, one run

  • Game stats: 4 for 4, one RBI, one run, one walk
  • Season stats: .275/.400/.314, two doubles, 10 RBIs, two steals, 17 games

Despite big games from Rodriguez and Capra, Indianapolis lost a 12-11 shootout to the Iowa Cubs.

Pirates prospect Aaron Shackelford hit a three-run home run for his ninth homer of the season.

Gorski ran wild while Peguero continued his strong play, but Altoona fell 4-3 to the Somerset Patriots.

Jarvis and Escotto combined for four hits but Greensboro was still defeated by the Greenville Drive 4-3.

Tsung-Che Cheng continued his excellent season with his ninth home run of the season.

Bradenton (34-29)

2B Termarr Johnson

  • Game stats: 1 for 3, one home run, one RBI, one run, one walk
