A couple Pittsburgh Pirates’ prospects had big nights in their respective wins on Tuesday night.

Outfilder Josh Palacios drove in five runs for Triple-A Indianapolis while fellow outfielder Enmanuel Terrero hit a clutch, go-ahead home run for Bradenton.

While Terrero and Palacios may have been the brightest spots down on the Pirates’ farm, a handful of other prospects had big games as well.

Here are the top performers.

Indianapolis (9-13)

RF Josh Palacios

  • Game stats: 3 for 5, one home run, five RBIs, one run, one walk

3B Ryan Vilade

  • Game stats: 1 for 3, one walk, three runs, one HBP
  • Season stats: .323/.400/.419, one home run, three RBIs, eight games

Palacios had a monster night in only his third game with Indianapolis as the Indians defeated the Columbus Clippers 10-4.

Pirates’ prospect Ryan Vilade was on base three times and scored as many runs in the win.

Altoona (7-8)

3B Domingo Leyba

  • Game stats: 2 for 4, one double, two RBIs, one run
  • Season stats: .356/.431/.533, two doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs, 13 games

1B Mason Martin

  • Game stats: 2 for 4, one double, one RBI, one run, one steal

Altoona fell to a game under .500 with their 11-5 loss to the Reading Fightin Phils. Leyba again stood out with another strong game while Martin also played well.

Pirates’ prospect Fabricio Macias hit his first homer of the year for the Curve. Right-hander Kyle Nicolas had an interesting line — he gave up seven runs in 4.2 innings but none of them were earned. The right-hander didn’t walk a batter and punched out six.

Greensboro (11-5)

LHP Anthony Solometo

  • Game stats: 5.0 innings, two hits, two earned runs, three walks, four strikeouts
  • Season stats: 0-1, 4.76 ERA, 9er/17.0ip, 13 hits, 10 walks, 20 strikeouts, four appearances/four starts

3B Mike Jarvis

  • Game stats: 1 for 4, one home run, one RBI, one run
  • Season stats: .229/.383/.479, three doubles, three home runs, eight RBIs, six steals, 13 games

Solometo had a pretty good outing for Greensboro while Jarvis slugged his third homer of the year, but Greensboro were defeated by the Rome Braves 7-2.

Right-hander Grant Ford threw 2.1 scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts while Pirates prospect Tsung-Che Cheng swiped his seventh base of the season.

Bradenton (11-5)

LF Enmanuel Terrero

  • Game stats: 2 for 4, one home run, one double, three RBIs, one run
  • Season stats: .364/.463/.618, four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 14 RBIs, four steals, 15 games

  • Season stats: 0-0, 4.22 ERA, 5er/10.2ip, 15 hits, seven walks, 12 strikeouts, three appearances/three starts

Terrero’s three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning carried Bradenton to a 3-1 victory over the Dunedin Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Pirates’ prospect Dominic Perachi held the Blue Jays scoreless despite some control issues. His six punch outs were a season high.
