Pirates Postgame: Yinzerpalooza Watches Quintana Shove In Likely Last Pirates Start

Published

on

Tonight was most likely Jose Quintana’s last time in a Pirates uniform as the trade deadline approaches and he ensured to give Pirates fans another start to remember. He looked very sharp on the mound again while mixing more of his curveball to attack hitters.

The offense was once again challenged. As a whole they struck out 12 times and outside of the top 4 hitters they amassed 0 hits. Tonight’s highlight was Kevin Newman, who has essentially been the Pirates best hitter since returning from the IL, as he collected 3 total hits along with a run. Ke’Bryan Hayes was also able to add to the scoring with a home run in the 6th.
