Pirates Postgame: Pirates Win 62nd Game

Published

on

The Pirates were able to avoid 101 losses with a come from behind win today. Johan Oviedo got the start facing his former team, though he did not look sharp. We have discussed what his role may ultimately be, and even though this small sample size doesn’t help determine much, it appears to look more likely he may be a future reliever.

The offense was able to generate 5 runs on 9 hits and 5 walks. Miguel Andujar capped off his 9 game Pirates tenure with a 3 hit performance tonight. Not much in tonight’s game should nor did change our minds on the season outlook of any players, but we do discuss and wrap up a little of this season while looking towards the offseason.
