Pirates Postgame: Oneil Cruz Makes Giant Splash In Pirates Victory

Published

on

Before this gets overshadowed by Oneil Cruz, let’s mention how well of a game Mitch Keller pitched. Coming after possibly his best game started, Mitch gives up 0 runs in a start for the first time this season. He didn’t do it by way of striking everyone out like last, but he pitched very effectively allowing very weak contact while inducing the double play ball when needed.

Ok, let’s get to the highlight freak. Oneil put together a really good game collecting 3 hits while hitting a 113.4 mph ball that traveled into the Allegheny. Having the 4 hardest hit balls of the game, it’s no wonder people salivate and talk about his exit velocity so much as we see how it can transpire into quality production. Oh, and how good has he been performing while in the leadoff role? Well, we discuss that as well in tonight’s show.

Let’s also discuss Rodolfo Castro as he continues to finish out this season on a possible high note – much like how high he hit his 6th home run of the season tonight.
