Multiple Moves and a Hire as Pirates Shuffle Coaches in Minor League System
Per Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pirates have hired Callix Crabbe, a former High-A assistant hitting coach in the Rangers Organization the past 3 years. Crabbe will take over as the High-A Manager for the Greensboro Grasshoppers. In other news, the Pirates have promoted Kieran Mattison, who previously coached High-A in 2021, to Double-A, where he will serve the same role.
Per sources, Pirates are promoting Miguel Perez to Class AAA, where he'll manage Indianapolis. Was in Altoona last year.
Also, Kieran Mattison going from High-A Greensboro to Class AA Altoona.

The last move of the day comes from the Double-A squad in Altoona. Manager Miguel Perez has been promoted to the Triple-A club in Indianapolis, where he will serve the same role.
