Pirates Minor League Report: Joshua Palacios Keeps Homering

Joshua Palacios, Pittsburgh Pirates

The Indianapolis Indians, the Pirates’ Triple-A affiliate, grinded out an 8-7 win on Saturday courtesy of home runs from Jake Lamb and Joshua Palacios. Palacios’ homer marked his second in as many games and fourth in the past 11, while utility man Andrés Alvarez tripled and reached base four times.

As has been the case outside of starts from Bubba Chandler and Thomas Harrington, the Indians’ pitching performance didn’t include any big name prospects, although they settled in nicely after allowing seven runs in the first four innings.
