Pirates Minor League Report: Charles McAdoo Keeps On Slugging
Pirates’ farm clubs picked up one win on Tuesday, with the Greensboro Grasshoppers defeating the Winston-Salem Dash 11-5 thanks to the red-hot Charles McAdoo’s ninth home run of the season. 2022 first round pick Termarr Johnson joined in on the fun too, making it on base twice as he celebrated his 20th birthday.
Triple-A Indianapolis managed to tie their game with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in the eighth inning, then promptly surrendered the game-winning run in the bottom of the frame on the way to a 2-1 loss.
The Altoona Curve took a two-run lead in the first inning against the Erie Sea Wolves but didn’t score again, allowing 11 unanswered runs in a lopsided loss. Thomas Harrington allowed six runs in five innings, but only one counted against his final line due to an error that led to a five-run inning.
Bradenton saw their game rained out, set for a makeup date on Wednesday, June 12.
