PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets will not labor on Labor Day as Monday’s scheduled game at PNC Park was postponed because of expected inclement weather throughout the day.

Monday’s game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Wednesday. The first game will start at 12:35 p.m. and nightcap at 6:35 p.m.

Mitch Keller, who was scheduled to pitch Monday, will now start Tuesday night for the Pirates against the Mets. Johan Oviedo and Bryse Wilson will start Wednesday’s games in an order to be determined.

Monday marked the first postponement at PNC Park this season. The Pirates will now play six doubleheaders this season, their most since playing nine in 2004.

According to the Pirates, all tickets from Monday’s game can be used for Wednesday’s first game or exchanged for any game in 2022, though the exchange must be made prior to Wednesday’s first game. Further information can be found at pirates.com/raincheck.
