PBN Around the Horn: Pirates & Reds Play Doubleheader in Cincinnati

On Thursday, July 7th, your Pittsburgh Pirates (33-48) will play a quick doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds (28-53). Starting game one for the Pirates will be RHP Roansy Contreras (2-2, 4.09 ERA), and his counterpart will be LHP Mike Minor (1-5, 6.82 ERA).
Starting game two for the Pirates will be Bryse Wilson (1-4, 7.49 ERA), and the Reds have yet to announce their game two starter. Game one will start at 2:10 p.m. at Great America Ballpark, and game two will start at 7:10 p.m.
UPDATE (6:45 P.M.)Â Eric Stout joins the big league roster, Roansy Contreras gets optioned to Triple-A; will remain on taxi squad. Pirates are watching Contreras’ workload this season.
Following the first game of today’s doubleheader, we have recalled LHP Eric Stout from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned RHP Roansy Contreras to Indianapolis.
