Friday, May 20th, your Pittsburgh Pirates (16-21) start a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals (20-18). Starting game one for the Pirates will be the 6 foot 7 behemoth Zach Thompson (2-3, 5.47 ERA). Thompson’s mound opponent will be Pirate killer Adam Wainwright (4-3, 3.15 ERA. First pitch at PNC Park is set for 6:35 p.m.

UPDATE (2:31 p.m.) Pirates lineup Friday night.

UPDATE (10:55 a.m.) Pirates prospect, Nick Gonzales has been on a little hot streak his past four games. In each of his last four games he has at least two hits. Thursday night Gonzales went 2-5 with a homer and a double.

UPDATE (9:21 a.m.) The Cardinals have called up their number 2 and 3 ranked prospect according to MLB Pipeline. Those prospects are INF Nolan Gorman and LHP Matthew Liberatore. Liberatore will make his MLB debut Saturday.
