PBN Around the Horn: A Patient Pirate Earns the Treasure
Welcome to the PBN Around the Horn. Here you’ll find news and notes from across Major League Baseball, your Pittsburgh Pirates, and around the Sports Now network.
Rebuilding is a long and arduous process; it can sometimes feel like Moses wandering through the desert for 40 years. When you look at the process, it can be ugly and downright embarrassing. Take, for instance, the Moses reference; I’m sure when you mention that “hey that guy and a bunch of other people were lost in the desert for 40 years,” it might sound embarrassing; when in reality, Moses was training and building an army.
This oddly got biblical and by no means is Ben Cherington Moses, but you get the point; on the surface, Cherington and the Pirates are losing a lot, and embarrassment occurs, but when you look at it, he’s building something better. Hopefully, it doesn’t take 40 years for this city’s sake. Anyways welcome to Around the Horn.
