Pirates’ manager Derek Shelton announced that Ke’Bryan Hayes has a bruise on his right hand but that x-rays were negative. He is considered day-to-day.

Hayes was lifted from the game in the eighth inning for Wilmer Difo, and shorty after the Pirates announced he has removed due to left hand discomfort.

Hayes had a wrist/hand injury earlier in the season that eventually landed him on the 60-day injured list, but that injury was to his left hand.

Hayes picked up a base hit and scored a run Sunday’s win over the Cardinals game before being removed.

The Pirates have an off day tomorrow before playing the White Sox on Wednesday night.
