The Pirates announced that Aaron Fletcher has ben claimed off waivers by the San Francisco Giants. Additionally, Cam Vieaux, who was DFA’s on July 11, has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Fletcher was claimed by the Pirates from the Seattle Mariners this offseason. In nine games with the Pirates, Fletcher posted a 6.94 ERA/6.11 FIP in 11.2 innings in relief. He complied a 1.45 ERA in 18.2 innings with Indianapolis.

Vieaux made his Major League debut with the Bucs earlier this season. Vieaux’s ERA sits at 14.40 in five appearances, but a lot of that was due to an abysmal appearance against the Yankees in which he allowed seven earned runs in just a single inning. Prior to that appearance, he had allowed one run with seven strikeouts in four innings.

Vieaux will remain in the Pirates organization, giving them some depth in the left-handed relief department.
