Another season of Major League Baseball will soon be upon us.

The New York Yankees will travel to San Francisco to face the Giants for the first first game of the 2026 MLB regular season with the rest of the league following suit the day or two after.

Entering the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the heavy favorites to repeat as World Series champions after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in a thrilling seven-game series in the fall.

Can anyone unseat them? Who will take home the league awards? I give my full MLB predictions below.

American League

Division Winners

  • East: Boston Red Sox
  • Central: Detroit Tigers
  • West: Seattle Mariners

Wild Cards: New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Kansas City Royals

ALCS : Red Sox over Tigers

Awards

  • MVP: Bobby Witt Jr. (Royals)
  • Cy Young: Garrett Crochet (Red Sox)
  • Rookie of the Year: Kevin McGonigle (Tigers)
  • Manager of the Year: Alex Cora (Red Sox)

National League

Division Winners

  • East: New York Mets
  • Central: Chicago Cubs
  • West: Los Angeles Dodgers

Wild Cards: Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers

NLCS: Dodgers over Mets

Awards

  • MVP: Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers)
  • Cy Young: Paul Skenes (Pirates)
  • Rookie of the Year: Konnor Griffin (Pirates)
  • Manager of the Year: Carlos Mendoza (Mets)

World Series

Dodgers over Red Sox. I think a couple teams in the American League could give Los Angeles a run for its money (more so than any team in the National League). But given their lineup and pitching staff I don’t see how you can’t pick the Dodgers.
