Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh Pirates

Sure it still might be spring training, but Andrew McCutchen has homered while wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates’ uniform for the first time since 2017.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, McCutchen clubbed an opposite-field, two-run homer off of Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jake Jewell. McCutchen finished the afternoon 2 for 3.

The home run was his first of the spring and first back with the Pirates after signing a one-year free agent contract with the club in January.

His last home run, well home runs for the matter, with the Pirates sure were memorable. He recorded a two-homer game on Sept. 26, 2017 against the Baltimore Orioles. The first of those two home-runs on that night was McCutchen’s first career grand slam. He followed four innings later with a three-run shot and finished that game with eight RBIs.
