Jarlín García, Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates have declined their $3.25 million option on left-hander Jarlín García, making him a free agent. The option comes with no buyout.

García was signed as a free agent last offseason after splitting the first six seasons of his career between the Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants. García didn’t appear in the game for the Pirates this season after battling a nagging injury to his pitching arm.

For his career, the 30-year-old is 17-15 with with a 3.61 ERA across 285 appearances.

García is now free to sign with any of the 30 teams in the league when free agency begins on Monday.
