Published

After the Gregory Polanco DFA occurred, the Pirates made another move, this time involving Sam Howard. Sam Howard has been recalled from his rehab assignment from Triple-A Indianapolis, and to make room for Howard, the Pirates have placed Dillon Peters on the 10-day IL for a lower back strain.

Peters last pitched on Friday, where he fell apart in the 5th inning, giving up three runs to the St. Louis Cardinals. Howard, during his rehab assignment, appeared in four games for Indianapolis, went 4.2 innings, and gave up no earned runs while striking out six.
