Pirates Reschedule Cancelled Series vs. Reds and Cardinals

Wednesday evening, Major League Baseball announced that they will be extending the regular season until October 5th. The reasoning behind this is to make up the games that were previously canceled during the 99-day lockout.

In a corresponding move, the Pirates announced that their eight cancelled games, including what would have been the season opening series against the Cardinals at PNC Park, will be made up on the following dates and times. The new schedule includes two split doubleheaders against the Reds, one on May 7th and the other on September 13th.

May 7th- at Cincinnati Reds, 12:35 p.m.
May 7th- at Cincinnati Reds, 6:40 p.m.
July 7th- at Cincinnati Reds, 6:40 p.m.
September 13th- at Cincinnati Reds, 12:35 p.m.
September 13th- at Cincinnati Reds, 6:40 p.m.
October 3rd- vs St. Louis Cardinals, 6:35 p.m.
October 4th- vs St. Louis Cardinals, 6:35 p.m.
October 5th- vs St. Louis Cardinals, TBA
