Pirates Postgame: Corbin Makes The Pirates Offense Look Silly

Tonight’s game was pretty brutal to sit through. Patrick Corbin looked like the Cy Young candidate in 2018 opposed to the pitcher who came into tonight’s game with a 6.60 ERA. With 12 K’s and just 1 earned run, he shut down this entire offense outside of Diego Castillo’s HR.

The bullpen has been very frustrating to watch as a unit lately as well. Though, you can pass blame onto Derek Shelton and how he has been using many guys in multiple innings, but the fact is that there is not enough guys you can rely on either. Is it time to just start throwing in the lesser experienced pitchers and give them some of these big opportunities?
