Breaking: Pirates 5th round Pick, Jackson Glenn Expected to Get Call Up to Bradenton
A source from with knowledge of the organization has confirmed to Pittsburgh Baseball Now that 5th round pick Jackson Glenn is going to be called up from the FCL and brought up to the Low-A Marauders club. The same source also confirmed that Glenn is now with the Bradenton club and is awaiting things to become official.
Glenn had only five at-bats in the Florida Complex League, but two of them went for doubles. This past year at Dallas Baptist, Glenn hit 21 home runs, had an OPS of 1.169, and even stole 13 bases. The Pirates system needed to add third baseman depth, and Glenn seems to be a nice option to have at the hot corner.

Here’s a sample of what to expect from the Pirates 5th round selection.
He has good range, but his arm may not play on the left side of the infield. Glenn put up some impressive numbers with the bat in 2021, with a 366/438/732 line, including 21 home runs. He showed a good eye, with 32 walks and 33 strikeouts in 272 plate appearances
